November 12th 2008, New York City – Pakistan´s president Asif Ali Zardari is invited to a meeting with CIA-Director Michael Hayden and his deputy Stephan Kappes.
The US-intelligence leadership tells the Pakistani politician, the U.S. is planning to continue drone attacks against al-Qaeda and the Taliban in the Pakistani tribal areas. A map with detailed information about the CIA´s drone campaign was given to Zardari.
“Kill the seniors“, President Zardari tells the Americans, „Collateral damage worries you Americans. It does not worry me.”
CIA-Chief Hayden disclosed to the Pakistani president in the November 2008 meeting, that a drone attack on a terror training camp in Kam Sham, a region of North-Waziristan, on November 7th had killed several Western Jihadis.
„Many Westerners, including some U.S. passport holders, had been killed five days earlier in North-Waziristan“, Michael Haydan said.

Neither U.S. officials, nor former CIA-Director Hayden confirmed or denied the reports.
Hayden was succeeded by Leon Panetta in 2009, his deputy Kappes resigned.
It was regarded as a widely known secret that the CIA in fact had killed U.S. citizens in the past years, without even knowing they were present at the targeted area.
Two human rights groups has filed a suit against the U.S. government´s decision to authorize the killing of U.S.-Yemeni Jihadi preacher Anwar al-Awlaki who is thought to be hiding in Yemen.
President Obama allowed the intelligence agents to capture or kill the New-Mexico-born U.S. citizen Awlaki.
